Today I felt like having some chia pudding on my acai bowl. The chia seeds have become very popular in the last few years among the population. They are not only rich in vitamins and minerals, but also contain high content of fiber, protein and omega 3-fats. Additionally, they can be used in lot of different recipes: for breakfast, lunch or dinner; for smoothies, salads or pancakes. And this makes them consequently be very easy ingredient to include in your meals.
I normally have a tablespoon of chia seeds with my porridge or smoothie almost everyday. However, till now I never tried having the chia pudding with blended Acai from Amazonian.ch. I have to say that it was de-li-ci-o-us!
If you do not know how to do a chia pudding, here the recipe:
- 2 teaspoons chia seeds
- 6 teaspoons milk/soja milk/almond milk (up to you)
- Mix them with a spoon
- Let it 2h in the fridge (at least) or overnight
For this acai bowl I used the following ingredients:
- One frozen blended pack of Acai
- Chia pudding
- Frozen Strawberries and Blackberries
- Half banana
- Almonds to taste
I found this breakfast great on summer days, since the frozen Acai together with the frozen fruits it really makes you feel you are having an ice cream for breakfast 🙂 However do not forget the banana! It sweetens the whole bowl and fits together with the others ingredients.
