Hello hello 🙂
Another busy week, another healthy take away breakfast, this time combining two exotic fruits. Even if at home we ate a lot of fruits, It was a year ago I started trying fruits not original from my country. Thus I tried Papaya, Mango, Coconut and Passion fruit. It was also recently I ate for the first time Dragon Fruit (Pitaya).
Now I include them every now and then on my daily life and recipes to add some extra vitamins and minerals. The reason not to have them everyday is simple: I preferably buy seasonal fruits and vegetables, from local farmers. One issue regarding globalization and having in the supermarket exotic fruits is all the pollution that logistics create… therefore I prefer to control myself in order to contribute to a more sustainable world 🙂
Here the ingredients you need to start in a great mood the:
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 frozen mango sliced
- 1 mango soja yogurt
- 1/2 raspberry soja yogurt
- 2 passion fruits
- Flax seeds (to taste)
- 1 tbsp. goji berries
- Oats (to taste)
- 4 walnuts per jar
I first blend together the mango soja yogurt and the frozen banana and mango. While blending you will need to add a bit of water (otherwise it may get stuck). Once ready, it tasted to delicious ice cream 😛 Next step is to stop for a moment, and think: which of the yogurt is heavier = which one has a bigger density? The mango soja yogurt smoothie has definitely bigger density due to the banana and mango. Then, first layer mango, second raspberry 😉
Afterwards mix the oats and flax seeds together while pouring them into the jars. Then add the walnuts, who will add at the same time good fats to the breakfast. Do not forget: Walnuts protect our hearth, offer antioxidants nutrients and help controlling our weight by simply substituting the unhealthy snack with them.
Now is time for the exotic touch 🙂 Tip: when opening the passion fruit, do it on top of the jar, so the juice fells down there and mixes with the rest of the ingredients 🙂
And suddenly the jars are ready to commute 🙂 Enjoy them!!
